Tonight is a Pay-What-You-Can preview of We Happy Few’s production of Pericles. Shakespeare’s tale of the trial and tribulations of the Greek hero will be performed by a small cast in the black box theatre at Capitol Hill Arts Workshop. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and you can reserve your ticket here.

Friday is Bike to Work Day! It’s going to rain but grab a poncho and get out there.

That evening musician Huda Asfour performs selections from her latest album Kouni  at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. The singer’s latest work reflects her multifaceted identity and culture. She will be joined by some local musicians for a concert which features sounds from jazz, classical and other traditions. The performance begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $25-$28.

Saturday would be a good time to work on you. You could begin at Union Market for a special FlyBarre and Brunch event. First workout with FlyBarre instructors, then grab an acai bowl from South Block Juice and follow it up with a cocktail from Cotton and Reed. The class begins at 1 p.m and it all costs $25. Or perhaps you work is more internal? Try a Soul Writing Workshop with the folks behind With Love DC, a yoga collective that offers free classes at the Botanic Gardens every Saturday. Entrepreneur and coach Allie Armitage will lead the introspective journey int more meaningful journal writing. The workshop begins at 1:30 p.m. and costs $65. Register here.

Sunday, learn the art of hand lettering at this Intro to Hand Lettering and Watercolors workshop at Steadfast Supply in the Yards. Samantha Testa, owner of Painted Palettes will lead the class of hand lettering and watercoloring. The class is 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $70 which will include all the supplies you will need to make your own piece. Register here.

Quicksilver productions and the Hill Center presents The Wooks as part of the American Roots Music Series. The Wooks is a Kentucky based band focusing sound of traditional bluegrass and mountain music. If you love banjos and harmonies this seems like a good way to end your weekend. Monday is the latest Overbeck history lecture,  William (Chuck) diGiacomantonio will present an illustrated lecture discussing the multi-layered significance of the Native Americans’ presence in Washington and on Capitol Hill. Not only did members of Congress who died in office become permanent residents when they were buried in Congressional Cemetery but Native Americans who died while negotiating treaties or lobbying the government are as well. diGiacomantonio is Chief Historian of the U.S. Capitol Historical Society and a long-time member of the Congressional Cemetery K-9 Corps. The lecture is free and begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Hill Center. Register here or call 202-549-4172.

Wednesday party with fun folks behind Pop-Up Magazine. The acclaimed live magazine is back with a new spring issue! Actor Joy Bryant (Good Girls Revolt, Parenthood); writers John Jeremiah Sullivan (The New York Times bestselling author, Pulphead, The New York Times Magazine), Helen Rosner (The New Yorker), Jenée Desmond-Harris (The New York Times), Davy Rothbart (creator, Found Magazine), Leanne Shapton (illustrator and author, Swimming Studies, Women in Clothes), Elle O’Brien (Botnik Studios); photographer Andres Gonzalez; filmmaker Marcus Ubungen (Beyond the Fields); and others will bring new multimedia stories to the stage, with film, photography, sound, and animation all mixed together, and a live score by the house band, Magik*Magik Orchestra. The New York Times calls the show “a sensation.” No video or audio is posted online afterward.
