Step Afrika! returns to the Atlas with the Magical, Musical Holiday Step Show

Hey there!

Yes, you with the glitter smudged on your skirt and cookie crumbs on your chin: I know you have parties, white elephant swaps, and other obligatory shenanigans. But on the off-chance you find yourself with some free time, here are some ways to kill it!

Tonight, add some probiotics to your holiday wish list at Kombucha 101 in the Union Market Test Kitchen. This week, Craft Kombucha will instruct students on the basics of fermenting this funky/healthy beverage. Each student leaves with a fermentation vessel, a SCOBEY (the mushroomy alien looking thing) and a starter. The class is $50 and begins at 6 p.m. Register here.

Capitol Hill Reads meets tonight at 6:30 p.m. to discuss The Water Knife by Paolo Bacigalupi. Discussion will take place at Capital Teas on 731 8th St SE. For more info please email David.Quick2@dc.gov.

Friday, Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) hosts juggler Christian Kloc for Circus District: Juggle Jam a juggling demo and workshop. All ages are welcome to this drop in workshop. Donations of $5 or more are suggested. Learn more here.

Sunday, teeny tiny theatre patrons are welcome to enjoy Arts on the Horizon’s Adventures With Mr. Bear at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. This theatre for the very young world premier tells the story of a young girl and her favorite stuffed animal, Mr. Bear, who play a game of hide and seek which evolves into a series of exciting adventures.
