If all goes well, then here’s what’s happening:

Tonight at 8pm at the Atlas, violinist Iva Bittová performs at the Atlas. This Czech artist is known for her improvisational skills and infectious charisma. Tickets are $29-$28 and are available here.

Friday, pianist Renara Akhoundova performs at Capitol Hill Arts Workshop in support of her latest album Love and Gratitude. The performance begins at 7pm and is free, though though donations to the artist would be appreciated.

At the Northeast Library, get in on the Haunted History Ghost Hunt. Hear stories of haunted Capitol Hill and get a chance to use ghost hunting equipment throughout the Northeast Library building. Free, but registration required by calling or stopping by the library located at 330 7th St NE.

Saturday, the River Park Nursery School is having their annual pop-up yard sale/bake sale at Eastern Market. Early birds can get some sweet deals on kids’ gear, maternity clothes—plus grown-up treats like, antique fly-fishing rod, kids’ water table, and bikes.  District Doughnut and other yummy treats will be available all morning long. The sale goes from 8 am – 1pm  in the plaza in front of the Rumsey pool on North Carolina Avenue SE next to Eastern Market.

Washington Improv Theatre (WIT) performs HOWL at the Atlas. Fans of unscripted zaniness will love this troupe, In addition to the live improv HOWL features WIT’s improvised slasher movie Die! Die! Die!. The show begins at 8:30 and tickets are $12- $15  and they are available here.

Sunday, the Pre-Code film series Tough Dames in Satin Slips continues at the Hill Center.  New Yorker writer Margaret Talbot and film critic Nell Minow screen and discuss Gabriel Over the White House (1933.) The political tale tells the story of newly elected president (Walter Huston) is an out-of-touch political hack facing a national crisis when a car accident leaves him in a coma; he emerges from it transformed into a prophetic, fascistic leader. Rosedale Library (1701 Gales Street NE) is hosting a Reverse book sale from 1pm to 4pm. Bring in your gently used books, make a donation and learn about the programs happening at the library.
