B-Fly Entertainment’s popular Liner Notes series returns to the Atlas this weekend.
For DCPS kids this is the final weekend of summer which, while SO SO WELCOME, seems wrong since Labor Day is still two weeks away. Regardless, it’s still summer so we must continue to summer on.
Tonight you can catch a preview performance of SCENA Theatre’s interpretation of Oscar Wilde’s classic farce The Importance of Being Earnest at the Atlas. In this version, the action is moved up to the jazz era and the genders are reversed which can only mean more funny. The show runs through September 13 and tickets are available here.
Friday evening is another ARTnight at CHAW. It is the monthly Clay and Cabernet. ARTnights give regular folk a chance to socialize, unwind and get in touch with a crafty side that may have not had an outlet since grade school. The evening begins at 6:30 and you can register here.
The Hill Center hosts Wordz N Soundz a monthly showcase featuring spoken word, performance and visual art and music all benefitting local non-profits. The evening begins at 7pm and tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door so purchase them in advance here.
Saturday night Liner Notes returns to the Atlas. Tickets for these trips down hip hop’s memory lane always sell out so get them now if you think you may want to go.
