Want to do a very cool and special LGBTQ+ activity right in our neighborhood? Then visit Congressional Cemetery and take a self-led or app-led tour of important figures in the movement who are now permanent residents there. Click here to learn more.

It’s also Memorial Day weekend and we will take time to remember those who have sacrificed their lives so we can eat hot dogs and ribs on the last Monday in May in relative freedom. That means that the PBS Memorial Day concert is also taking place at the west lawn of the United States Capitol on Sunday, May 265– both live and streaming on PBS.com. And as is tradition, you can also catch the dress rehearsal on Saturday, May 24, same place but with check-in starting at 5 p.m. sharp. No one will be admitted on the grounds before. Click here for added guidance from the United States Capitol Police.

Join Hill Family Biking for a bike ride and a block party at the 900 block of 11th Street NE. Show up at the Maury Elementary parking lot starting at 12:45 p.m. for bike repair clinic and be ready to roll at 1 p.m. More info and RSVP here.

Twelfth Night is now at the Folger Shakespeare Library. The beloved play about twins, mistaken identity, a shipwreck and happy endings is a zany, sexy romp with lots of singing, additional gender swaps, lots of yellow stockings and the feel of a European disco throughout.  For tickets and other events at the Folger, click here.

It’s Parade Season at the Marine Barracks and you can reserve tickets to all upcoming shows through August 22. Click here and book your seats.
