Despite the fact that it was more of a winter than a spring day, Capitol Hill Little League held its opening game and parade on Saturday, March 28 2015 at Payne Elementary Field. Mayor Muriel Bowser, smiling and being a great sport despite looking quite cold, threw out the first pitch. President Taft chased the kids around and kept them moving. The kids all looked spiffy and bright in their new Nationals-sponsored jerseys. We were all grateful for hot chocolate.
