I recently went out to take pictures out at the Armory of the installation of flags representing Covid-19 deaths. Since the lighting was poor that day, I knew I need to return – and election day dawned bright and clear, so it seemed appropriate (RSP)
Not only was the light better, but the wind was up and rustling the flags in different parts of the installation at different times. (RSP)
Heartbreaking messages abound (RSP)
The clear weather allowed a better version of this shot, with the Statue of Freedom looking down on the flags (RSP)
There weren’t as many visitors (or volunteers) as last time, but a few came through to give a sense of the scale (RSP)
The shadows thrown by the trees worked in that regard, as well (RSP)
The National Guard billboard makes for an ironic background to a lot of these pictures (RSP)
I can only hope that seeing this – with its ever-increasing number – will convince people that any measures to slow it down are appropriate (RSP)
