Like many of us, Kai Moeller has felt frustration and pain while watching harrowing images of Gaza– the specter of war, starvation and crumbling infrastructure haunted him. Kai is a cook at Pascual, and he decided to use his talents and rally his community to help him help those in need.
So with the help of his father, Karl, his girlfriend, Lexie, and restaurant industry friends, he has organized a special fundraiser for HEAL Palestine. This non-profit, organized in January of 2024, works tirelessly to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza through a grassroots approach that works through focusing on Health, Education, Aid and Leadership.
The fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, February 19 at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation and will feature fried chicken sandwiches, macaroni and cheese and coleslaw, with a minimum donation of $50 per person. Wine and other drinks will be available as a separate donation. Get your tickets by clicking here.
