  • Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Bat) Offense: 1200 Block of Mount Olivet Road, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announce an arrest has been made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Bat) offense that occurred on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in the 1200 Block of Mount Olivet Road, Northeast.
At approximately 4:02 pm, the victim was approached by the suspect at the listed location. The suspect produced a bat and struck the victim. The victim was treated on the scene for minor injuries. The suspect was apprehended by responding Officers.
On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, 57 year-old Ronald Garris, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Bat).

  • Suspects Sought in an Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: 1200 block of Mount Olivet Road, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating suspects in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, May 28, 2021, in the 1200 block of Mount Olivet Road, Northeast.
At approximately 9:24 am, the victim was in their vehicle and parked at the listed location. One of suspects approached the vehicle, brandished a handgun, demanded the victim’s vehicle and forced the victim out of the vehicle. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle has since been recovered.
The suspects were captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above and in this video.

Friday, June 11, 2021: 32-year-old Timothy Williams, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle offense that occurred in the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 21-078-005
Sunday, June 13, 2021: 37 year-old Ricky Lee Parham, of Bladensburg, MD, was arrested for an Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle offense that occurred in the 900 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 21-079-209
