Are you ready for Restaurant Week?

If you’re a fan of restaurants and of getting a deal –or just *feeling* like you’re getting one– then get ready for Winter Restaurant Week. Spanning 13-17 January (although in some cases, lasting through the following week), Restaurant Week is a chance to taste something new or get a creative version of favorites from a restaurant you love at quirky prices. You can check out the complete lineup of participating businesses by visiting ramw.org/restaurantweek, where you can locate a place using several different criteria: You can find restaurants by neighborhood and cuisine. Some establishments participate in the event for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while others limit themselves to one or two specific menus. In our area, you might want to check out new Mediterranean restaurant Mekki, Bistro Bis for breakfast (!), among all the other wonderful choices.

For people who don’t get a chance to go out very often, Restaurant Week can be a great time to get an idea of what a restaurant offers for a small price: $22 per person for breakfast or lunch and $35 for dinner menus. As a special reminder, please be kind to your serving staff as they are likely to be busier than usual, and tip generously.

You can also sign up for the Restaurant Week Diner Rewards program, where you can get fun things like cookbooks and restaurant gift cards. Check that out here. And don’t forget to share your findings on social media– use their tag, #RWDMV to share in the fun.
