Parting ear worm:
Let’s pretend it’s still Two for Tuesday, which was always my favorite day to listen to the radio (O, passage of time, thou art cruel). I am leaving you with not just one but two very different but equally exciting female artists to listen to. Jasper Lotti‘s hypnotic track “Idea of Me” feels cobbled together from musical sounds and random things you might record for fun, and yet it creates this lush meditation.
You should also listen to BENEE, a 19-year old phenom from New Zealand. “Wishful Thinking” is a sunny uptempo song with a certain bit of darkness ringing it. It’s catchy but also edgy and I think you’ll really like it. BENEE is coming to Songbyrd on October 20.
