Ready, Willing & Working (RWW) empowers individuals to break the cycles of homelessness, criminal recidivism and welfare dependency through a paid-work rehabilitation program offering a holistic approach and supportive services that allow participants to achieve permanent self-sufficiency. These supportive services include case management, counseling and relapse prevention which help our “Men in Blue” become productive, contributing members of society. More than 70 percent of participants remain employed, independently housed and drug-free after three years of entering the program.

Through meaningful employment with the Capitol Hill BID and contracted partners, RWW provides a “hand up,” rather than a “hand out” to a demographic of men who would otherwise become reincarcerated or return to the streets. These individuals are seen as role models in the Capitol Hill community with their positive attitudes and work ethic that help make our nation’s capital a clean and safe place to work, live and play. This year Ready, Willing & Working is celebrating “A Decade of Opportunity” at the 10th Annual Magic & Miracles Gala on Wednesday, May 23 at The Heritage Foundation’s Rooftop and Theatre. All funds raised through Magic & Miracles provide the supportive services that are critical to lifelong stability.

Please join us for an unforgettable evening featuring catering from top local restaurants, live music, silent auction and a special video presentation honoring our model program founders George and Harriet McDonald of The Doe Fund, New York.
