Jen DeMayo

Jen DeMayo has been a waitress, an actor, a puppeteer and a writer for the Hill Rag. She worked for many years for the Atlas Performing Arts Center which has resulted in her being a relentless H Street booster/Streetcar apologist. She is originally from the New York-New Jersey area and is consequently one of the many who whine endlessly about DC’s lack of good bagels and pizza. She is the mom to two boys who currently attend DCPS (off the Hill.) No matter what she may end up accomplishing in her life, she is sure that her obituary headline will say she was the founder of Moms on the Hill.

This weekend was almost anti-climactic. By Thursday afternoon, businesses all over the city were gearing up to offer […]

The To Do List

Wow, everyone is buzzing about a possible government shutdown and the effect it could have on DC city services.  It seems that events like the Cherry Blossom Parade won’t happen either so this week’s to do list will have no suggestions involving the Smithsonian, the Zoo or any other federally funded operations… If you are […]

Friday night was the Opening ceremony for the Hill’s first Little League with BOTH Tommy Wells and the Nationals’ Mascot Screech the Eagle in attendance. Folks were […]
