Jen DeMayo

Jen DeMayo has been a waitress, an actor, a puppeteer and a writer for the Hill Rag. She worked for many years for the Atlas Performing Arts Center which has resulted in her being a relentless H Street booster/Streetcar apologist. She is originally from the New York-New Jersey area and is consequently one of the many who whine endlessly about DC’s lack of good bagels and pizza. She is the mom to two boys who currently attend DCPS (off the Hill.) No matter what she may end up accomplishing in her life, she is sure that her obituary headline will say she was the founder of Moms on the Hill.

The seat was opened when the former At-Large Council member Kwame Brown took over as Council Chair. There are plenty of candidates in the this race but The Hill […]

Monday Morning Circle Time

Coming back from a weekend away sometimes makes it tough for me to write the Circle Time intro.  Even though I kept up with the email I still feel a bit disconnected from the Hill and recent events. So tell me, did the Lincoln park Egg Hunt happen or was it rained out? I know […]

Streetcar Update

Last night Scott Kubly of DDOT updated the public on the progress of the Streetcar project in a meeting hosted by ANC 6C at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. He could give classes on how to conduct a Q and A. The man is diplomatic and optimistic and will keep answering the same question over […]
