Those who frequent Schneider’s, a Capitol Hill institution that recently celebrated its 60th birthday, know that the wine shop almost always has some good bottles open for tasting. The store’s owner, Jon Genderson, has decided to let others in on this secret – starting tonight.
Every Wednesday from 5:00-7:00, Schneider’s will host a weekly wine tasting event — opening up several bottles that fit a particular theme. They’re starting with some 2007 southern Rhones. Considering that Robert Parker (the world’s most famous wine critic) has described these wines as “the greatest vintage I have ever tasted in any viticultural area,” it might be worth the trip.

What a lovely way to start or end a walk home from work.
Great to know! I will definitely stop by some time!
