According to www.capitolhilllhistory.org, on Tuesday, March 2, the Overbeck history lecture series will host Dick Wolf, past president of the Capitol Hill Restoration Society, as he recounts some of the organization’s early battles to save our neighborhood from the bulldozer and wrecking ball.
The event will be held at 8:00 p.m. at the Naval Lodge Hall at 330 Pennsylvania Avenue SE. Admission is free but, due to limited seating, a reservation is required. Simply email lecture [at] CapitolHillHistory [dot] org and indicate the number of seats you will need. Reservations are automatic and those requesting a reservation will only receive an email response if no more seats are available.
This lecture was originally scheduled for February 9 but had to be postponed due to snow.
