Thanks to the timing of this 60 degree weather just as I book my tickets to Florida for Nationals’ spring training, my brain is now in full blown vacation-mode. All I can think about is the sound of breaking waves on the beach and the taste of hot dogs and Cracker Jacks at the ball park. Alas, I have two more months of work to get through before my next trip to the beach. Back to reality and the fun of an ongoing carjacking problem in the neighborhood. Be careful out there, everyone. Stay aware of your surroundings and help the police catch these guys. - JDLand published her 2010 ‘State of the Hood.’ Dupree has now been chronicling the changes in Near Southeast for seven years.
- Greater Greater Washington analyzed DDOT’s ballpark parking report, and offered some suggestions for improving the performance parking program.
- DCist got some great pictures of the Capital City Diner over the weekend. The owners are keeping their fingers crossed that it will only be three more weeks until they are able to open. Finally, a 24/7 diner (well, at least Friday – Sunday)!
- ANC6B Commissioner, Norm Metzger reported that the new visitor parking permits for zone 6 are in the mail!
