DC does the Fourth of July very well. And our little neighborhood does it even better. We have some of the best views of the fireworks, we’re a close and easy walk to most the big festivities, we have our own neighborhood parade…the list goes on. And this year, we also get a two-day festival on the water.
On July 3rd and 4th, Yards Park will play host to the National FreedomFest, which will include more than 40 bands and DJ’s on 5 stages, food vendors, and of a kind craft vendors “and so much more.” The event is brought to us by HiBall Events, the group behind BLOCKtoberfest.
Single day tickets are currents $24.99 and will increase at $34.99 “soon,” so buy them fast if you want to save yourself a few bucks. Two day tickets are $34.99 and will increase to $49.99 once a certain number are gone. VIP tickets, which includes beer, a limited-edition FreedomFest 2011 mug, and special access to stages and other areas range from $64.99-89.99 for a one day pass and $99.99-139.99 for a two day pass. There are also “Taste of Freedom” tickets for $150-400.
