You may have noticed that there has been a dearth of history posts of late. This is less I have run out of history to write about, and more that I have just been stuck on finding some new vein to mine for new content. So, while I try to find something to write about, I have gone out and looked at some of the spots that I had previously written about.
It is also an opportunity to rerun some of the columns from the past, and to go out with my camera to take pictures of the neighborhood.
We start today with Providence Park. Better known as X Park, or “that park your kids learned to play soccer in.” It has a long history, which I looked at twice over the years, once for The Hill is Home, and once for the Hill Rag.
I even looked at the plaque, and an embarrassing mistake on, it a little later.
