At 1 in the afternoon yesterday, two armed suspects entered H Street’s DC Styles, tied up and assaulted owner Mo Abdi, and fled in a awaiting car with money and clothing stolen from the store. According to police, the vehicle used to facilitate the escape is described and an older (1989 or 1990) dark colored (black or gray) Nissan Maxima with an unknown Maryland tag. If anyone was in the area and has information, please call 202-727-9099.
Abdi was taken to the hospital for his injuries and released last night. @HStreetDC tweeted that she spoke with his family and he is doing okay.
NBC 4‘s Pat Collins (the most painfully overly-dramatic reporter in the city) was on the scene and interviewed the neighboring business owners who came to Abdi’s aid. You can see the video below or read the NBC4 story here.

“the most painfully overly-dramatic reporter in the city” … so true.
Sad to see criminals like this got away. Hopefully they’ll be caught.
