The Golden Triangle BID holds their Golden Haiku contest every winter. You can submit up to two of your poems –which do not have to fit the 5-7-5 scheme as long as they are written in the spirit of haiku– through this portal. But hurry – closes on February 6. Have you ever wanted to be one of those crazy people who run around the city in their underwear for the event we all know as Cupid’s Undie Run? The Undie Run, which is actually a benefit to help raise awareness and funds for Neurofibromatosis (NF) research, is a delightful and cold tradition, happening on February 12 this year. Interested? Have you been to The Reach at the Kennedy Center? Celebrate winter and the Lunar New Year with Winter Lanterns, a multicolored celebration of the spring festival. Since the year of the Tiger began on February 1, you can see lit-up tigers and pandas frolicking among the flowers, butterflies and other beautiful scenes.
