Want to attend a benefit that not only showcases the best of local culinary talent but also allows you to help an organization dedicated to making sure children are fed nutritious meals and not go hungry? Then make sure to get your tickets for this year’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry, this Monday, April 8 from 7-9 p.m.

No Kid Hungry is a national campaign that is run by a non-profit called Share our Strength (which gets 3 out of 4 stars on Charity Navigator). One of the ways they raise funds to help feed children across the nation is by organizing events at a local level. Most of your ticket is tax deductible, which means that you’re getting an incredible array of food and drink for a very reasonable price.

The fundraiser is spearheaded in our area by several prominent chefs, who are the chairs of the event: Chef Chair Mike Friedman (The Red Hen, All-Purpose), as well as Pastry Chair Tiffany MacIsaac, Mixology Chair Gina Chersevani (Buffalo and Bergen, Suburbia), and Sommelier Chair Nadine Brown (Society Fair). We’re excited to try bites from local favorites All Purpose, Ana, Art & Soul, Barrel, Beuchert’s Saloon, Cava Mezze, Hank’s Oyster Bar, Maketto, Matchbox, Medium Rare, Osteria Morini, Sonoma. There will also be drinks and bites from the Sweet Lobby, Peregrine Espresso, Ice Cream Jubilee and Captain Cookie and the Milkman.

Make sure you don’t eat that Monday and do an extra strenuous workout on Tuesday, because this night will be 1000% worth the calories!
