THIS AFTERNOON! Go to Eastern Market Metro Plaza and enjoy Jazz in the Park, starting at 5 p.m. This week, Imani-Grace Cooper will be on stage.

Tomorrow is Record Store Day! Get to Spin Time Records on Pennsylvania Avenue, to Rail Records and Books at Union Station or to Byrdland at Union Market and get records and cool freebies! GROOVE ON!

Celebrate your favorite bard’s favorite bard — no, not Cervantes, Shakespeare! Shakespeare’s birthday is April 22 and you can pre-game it at the Folger (where else!) with a big celebration on April 18. More info here.

Celebrate Earth Day with Casey Trees and neighbors in Woodridge on April 18 with a film and a nature walk. Click here for more info.

Lady Danbury is coming to the Folger to talk about storytelling! Actor Adjoa Andoh, MBE, will be at the Folger on April 19 to talk about the craft of a story well told. Tickets and more info here.

Oh and Ginkgo Gardens will be celebrating Earth Day with a scavenger hunt! Go visit on April 22 (that’s Wednesday) and look for the little earths hidden around the store and win! Yay, earth!
