To Do:

The To Do List, Week of March 13, 2026

Hey, remember how six years ago life kind of ground to a halt and we didn’t emerge from our lairs for like… oh, I dunno, three months? Ah, what a pandemiversary. I remember going out to dinner at El Chalán (RIP, glorious Peruvian food) and walking back because we didn’t know if riding the Metro or a bus would kill us. The day was as unseasonably warm as this past Wednesday, and it felt like nothing would ever be the same. How about you all out there?

It’s official: Peak bloom is coming March 29 through April 1. Can you smell the spring in the air? No, no, don’t sniff too close to the Potomac River.

Are you looking for a book club? Check out Solid State Books’ XOXO club, which meets the third Thursday of every month. Learn more here.

Drop in to the pop-in! Get glorious chicken sandwiches and balanced, delightful cocktails at Bumblebirds.

And swing by Bumblebirds, a new pop-in restaurant in the old Good Stuff Eatery space, 303 Pennsylvania Avenue SE. The first 100 folks in line get free nugs! The chicken is divine so this is worth it! Check out more opening weekend info here and check out a reel about Bumblebirds here.
