  • MPD Seeking Suspect in Navy Yard Threats Offense

The Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a suspect in a threats offense that took place in Southeast D.C.
On Friday, November 15th, 2024, at approximately 12:10pm, officers from the First District responded to the 1000 block of First Street Southeast for reports of a suspicious person. Upon arrival officers discovered that an unknown suspect approached a woman and pursued her into her building while making threatening gestures and inappropriate comments. The suspect then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos above.

  • MPD Searching for H Street Northeast Burglary Suspects

The Metropolitan Police Department is searching for 3 suspects who burglarized a business on H Street Northeast.
On Sunday, October 13th, 2024, at approximately 5:54am, officers of the First District responded to the 1300 block of H Street, Northeast for reports of a burglary. Upon arrival officers discovered 3 suspects had forced entry into a closed business, stole vape products, and made good on their escape.
The suspects were captured by surveillance camera footage and can be seen in this video.

  • MPD Searching for Northeast Burglary Suspects

The Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a group of suspects who burglarized a Northeast business.
On Saturday, September 10th, 2024, at approximately 12:05am officers responded to the 1200 block of H Street, Northeast for reports of a burglary. Upon arrival officers discovered that a group of suspects had forced entry into a closed business, stole several pieces of high-end clothing, and made good on their escape.
The suspects were captured by surveillance camera footage and can be seen in this video.

  • MPD Arrests Suspect in Northeast Burglary

The Metropolitan Police Department announces an arrest of a suspect involved in a burglary in Northeast.
On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at approximately 2:57 p.m., the suspect entered an unoccupied residence in the 100 block of 11th Street, Northeast. When the homeowner returned, they observed the suspect fleeing the scene with property from the residence.
On Monday, November 18, 2024, 30-year-old Avonta Brandon, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Burglary Two.

  • MPD Arrests Man for Assault with Intent to Rob

The Metropolitan Police Department arrested a man for assaulting another individual in an attempted robbery in Northeast.
On Saturday, November 16, 2024, at approximately 5:45 p.m., the suspect approached the victim in the 600 block of H Street, Northeast. The suspect then assaulted the victim and demanded money. The victim was able to escape to safety, while the suspect fled the scene. A short time later, during the course of the investigation, officers were able to stop the suspect and arrest him.
The suspect has been identified as 47-year-old Antonio Anderson, of Capitol Heights, MD.
