Why are you running for ANC?
I am running for Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner of 7D10 because I am committed to advocacy and building on the significant progress we have achieved within our single member district. As a proactive and dedicated leader, I aim to create a vibrant community where every resident has the opportunity to thrive and succeed. My vision is to ensure that our neighborhood remains inclusive, resilient, and prosperous for all.
Platform:
- Boys and Girls Club Redevelopment: Continue the oversight of the redevelopment of the Boys and Girls Club to ensure neighbors have access to affordable and clean housing.
- A Healthy Neighborhood: Address public and traffic safety to ensure a healthy neighborhood for all residents.
- Present & Responsive: Stay present and active in our community, share resources, information, and advocate for the residents of Hill East.
Why do you believe ANC is an important office?
I believe in this role because ANC commissioners are the first-in-line representatives, and residents deserve a commissioner who will advocate, listen, and fight for them to ensure that the issues they care about are addressed
Why should your neighbors vote for you?I will bring a wealth of experience from both the national and local levels to this role. My deep love for the community drives my commitment to seeing all residents thrive. I have the endorsement of current ANC Commissioner Brianne Elby and former ANC Commissioner Alison Horn, as well as support from organizations like GGW, Good Party, and DC Voters for Animals. They believe in my vision and recognize my ability to effectively address the challenges our SMD faces.
Why should we all keep an eye on Advisory Neighborhood Commissions as a whole?
In the next two to three years, our neighbors and the commission will engage in important discussions on a variety of topics. Key projects such as the redevelopment of the Eastern Boys and Girls Club, the RFK campus, Reservation 13, and Parkside will require oversight and active community participation.
