The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in multiple armed carjackings.
In each of the below offenses, the suspect approached the victim who was near or on their moped while displaying a handgun. The suspect demanded the victim’s moped. The victim complied. The suspect fled the scene on the moped.

- MPD Searching for Southeast Shooting Suspects

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are searching for suspects involved in a Southeast shooting.
On Saturday, September 28, 2024, at approximately 10:55 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the Unit block of Potomac Avenue, Southeast. When they arrived, they found an adult female with non-life-threatening gunshot wound injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspects were captured by nearby cameras and can be seen in the photos above.
- MPD Searching for Suspect in Credit Card Fraud

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a credit card fraud and theft offense that occurred in Southeast.
On Friday, September 20th, 2024, at approximately 4:30pm, officers responded to the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast where a victim reported her wallet had been stolen out her purse. The suspect later fraudulently used the victim’s credit card at an establishment.
