  • MPD Makes Arrest in Southeast Burglary

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in a Southeast burglary.
On Saturday, August 3, 2024, at approximately 12:31 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of G Street, Southeast, for a report of a burglary. The victims reported that a suspect forced entry through a door of the residence. The victim confronted the suspect causing the suspect to flee with the victim’s property. Both victims were unharmed.
On Sunday, August 4, 2024, at approximately 12:26 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of K Street, Southeast, in reference to a package theft. Responding officers located and arrested the suspect.
As a result of result of the detectives’ investigation, 60-year-old Albert Patrick Jr. of Washington, D.C, was charged with Burglary First Degree, Theft Second Degree and Fugitive From Justice.

  • MPD Makes Four Arrests in Northeast Robbery

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of four robbery suspects in Northeast.
On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Four suspects approached the victim in the 600 block of 3rd Street, Northeast. The victim reported a group assaulted him and forcefully removed his belongings before fleeing. The victim was able to give officers a lookout for the four suspects.
A short time later officers located and arrested the four suspects in the 900 block of 4th Street, Northeast.
A 14-year-old male of Northwest, D.C., a 16-year-old male of Northeast, D.C., 16-year-old male of Northwest, D.C., and 16-year-old male of Oxon Hill, MD. were arrested and charged with Robbery (Force and Violence).

  • MPD Searching for Suspects in Northeast Residential Burglary

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a Burglary One offense in Northeast.
On July 25, 2024, at approximately 3:48 p.m., three suspects entered an occupied house in the 600 block of Orleans Place, Northeast. Once inside, the suspects took property then fled the scene.
The suspects were captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above and in this video.

  • MPD Arrests Man in Northeast Stabbing

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a man in an assault with dangerous weapon (knife) in Northeast.
On Sunday, August 11, 2024, at approximately 12:01 p.m., the victim reported being stabbed by the suspect near the intersection of 18th Street and Benning Road, Northeast. The suspect fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
MPD’s Real Time Crime Center located camera footage capturing the suspect and shared the footage with officers searching for the suspect.
During the detective’s investigation, the suspect was located in the immediate area of the crime scene and placed under arrest. 36-year-old A’quino Boyd, of no fixed address, was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (knife)

  • MPD Searching for Robbery Suspects and Vehicle

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the community’s assistance in identifying and locating suspects and a vehicle involved in a robbery in Northeast.

On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at approximately 9:52 p.m., the suspects approached the victims from behind in the 1100 block of G Street, Northeast.  Once the suspect approached the victims the suspects forcefully took one of the victim’s property from their pockets then fled the scene.

The suspects and vehicle were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.
