  • Woman Arrested for an Assault in Northeast

The Metropolitan Police Department announces a woman has been arrested for an assault that occurred inside of an establishment in Northeast.
On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at approximately 2:20 p.m., the suspect struck an employee with a wine bottle during a dispute inside of an establishment in the 1200 block of First Street Northeast.
The suspect was apprehended on scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
22-year-old Beyonce Page, of Northwest, DC. was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Wine Bottle).

  • Suspects Sought in a Destruction of Property Offense in Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a destruction of property offense that occurred in Southeast.
On Sunday, May 19, 2024, at approximately 5:04 a.m., MPD officers responded to a business in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, for a destruction of property offense. Once on scene, it was learned that the suspects caused damage to the door of an establishment. The suspects then fled the scene.
The suspects were captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos at right:

  • Arrest Made in Burglary of Northeast Business

The Metropolitan Police Department announces an arrest has been made in a burglary of a business.
On Friday, May 25, 2024, at approximately 5:36 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast, for an individual who gained entry to an establishment that was closed. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect as he was stealing property from the establishment. Officers placed the suspect under arrest.
As a result of the detective’s investigation, 56-year-old Kevin Austin of Northeast, was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree.

  • MPD Seeks Suspects in a Northeast Destruction of Property

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in locating a suspect who caused damage to an ATM in Northeast.
On Thursday, May 23, 2024, at approximately 6:24 a.m., the suspect approached an ATM in the 800 block of H Street, Northeast. The suspect used a hard object to destroy the screen of the ATM then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos above.

  • MPD Arrests Man for Indecent Exposure in Northeast

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a man for an indecent exposure offense that occurred in Northeast.
On May 8, 2024, at 7:40 a.m., the victim was in the 400 block of 3rd Street, Northeast when the suspect exposed himself to the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.
On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, as a result of the detectives’ investigation, 41-year-old Michael Spencer, of no fixed address, was arrested. He is charged with Lewd, Indecent, or Obscene Acts (Disorderly Conduct).

  • Man Arrested for First-Degree Sexual Abuse

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit announce a man has been arrested for a First-Degree Sexual Abuse While Armed (Knife) offense that occurred in the 1400 block of L Street, Southeast.
On April 1, 2024, the victim was delivering food at the listed location. The suspect approached the victim while brandishing a knife and forced the victim to engage in unwanted sexual acts.
On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 23-year-old Deamonte Brooks of Southeast, was charged with First Degree Sexual Abuse While Armed (Knife).
