  • MPD Searching for Vehicle in Northeast Armed Robbery

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District Detectives Unit are seeking the community’s help to locate a vehicle involved in an armed robbery.
On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at approximately 12:35 a.m., the victim was biking home in the 300 block of E Street, Northeast, when a black SUV pulled up beside him. The suspect in the passenger seat exited the vehicle demanding the victim’s property, while the driver pointed a firearm. The victim complied and the suspects drove off with the victim’s property.
The suspect’s vehicle was captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photo above.

  • MPD Searching for a Man in a First-Degree Sexual Abuse

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man who sexually assaulted a woman, inside of a residential building, in the 1400 block of L Street, Southeast.
On Monday, April 1, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., while inside of a residential building, the suspect forced the victim at knifepoint to engage in an unwanted sexual act. The suspect then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos below and in this video.

  • MPD Seeks Suspects in an Assault on a Special Police Officer

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District Detectives Unit are seeking the community’s help to locate suspects who shot at a Special Police Officer in Southeast.
On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at approximately 6:24 p.m., the suspects and a special police officer, who was working in an establishment, were involved in an argument in the 400 block of 14th Street, Southeast. As the suspects left the location, one of the suspects fired a handgun towards the special police officer. Both suspects then fled the scene. There were no injuries reported to MPD.
The suspects were captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos above.
