  • MPD Searching for Suspects in Kingman Park Shooting

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects in a shooting in Northeast.
On Friday, March 22, 2024, at 7:44 p.m., the victim was outside a business near the 500 block of 21st Street, Northeast, when the victim had an altercation with two suspects. One of the suspects brandished a gun and shot the victim. Both suspects fled the scene.
The suspects were captured by security cameras and can be seen in the photos above.

  • MPD Reunites Stolen Bulldog with Owner, Search for Suspect Continues

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District reunited a stolen French Bulldog with its owner tonight and continue to ask for the community’s help to locate a suspect.
On Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 3:01 a.m., the victim parked their car in the 1900 block of 14th Street, Northwest. When the victim returned, they discovered their vehicle had been taken. The victim’s 4-year-old French Bulldog named Recardito was inside the vehicle.
The victim’s vehicle was recovered early Monday. Recardito was located Monday evening and reunited with the owner. Pictures of the reunion are above.

  • MPD Searching for Vehicle in H Street Armed Robbery

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District Detectives Unit are seeking the community’s help to locate a vehicle involved in an armed robbery.
On March 14, 2024, at approximately 1:11 a.m., the victim was about to get into his car in the 600 block of H Street NE when a small white SUV pulled up beside him. Two suspects exited the vehicle armed with handguns. They demanded the victim’s property and the victim complied. The suspects then got back into the white car and drove away.
The suspect vehicle was captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the below photos
