Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to a shooting offense that occurred in the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at approximately 8:47 a.m., the suspect shot at the victim at the listed location. The bullet did not strike the victim and the suspect fled the scene.
On Friday, February 2, 2024, as a result of the detectives’ investigation, a 16-year-old juvenile male of Southeast, DC, was arrested. He has been charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, and Receiving Stolen Property.
- MPD Seeks a Vehicle Involved in a Shooting
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle involved in a shooting that occurred in Southeast.
On Sunday, February 4, 2024, at approximately 2:39 a.m., First District officers responded to the 700 block of 12th Street, Southeast, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wound injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect vehicle was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photo above.
- MPD Searching for Vehicle Involved in Two Shootings
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District are seeking the community’s help to identify a vehicle that was used in two shootings in Southwest DC.
On Sunday, February 4, 2024, at approximately 2:26 a.m., First District officers responded to the 1200 block of Howison Place Southwest for the report of sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, they located a man with gunshot wound injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. CCN: 24017629

During the investigation, detectives identified a suspect vehicle used in both shootings. The vehicle, described as a gray four door sedan with tinted windows, was captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos above.
