Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in the 300 Block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 6:30 pm, the suspect approached the victim, who was seated in their vehicle, at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and took money from the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) and a Theft One (Stolen Auto) Offense that occurred on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in the 700 Block of D Street, Southeast.
At approximately 5:42 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. Once the victim complied, the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, 19-year-old Isaiah Matthews of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Gun) and Theft One (Stolen Auto).

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to a Burglary Two of an Establishment offense that occurred on Sunday, July 16, 2023, in the 800 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 3:45 am, the suspect gained entry into an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene.

- Arrest Made in a Burglary One Offense: 600 Block of North Carolina Avenue, Southeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in a Burglary One offense that occurred on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in the 600 block of North Carolina Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 1:50 am, the suspect entered an occupied residence at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Wednesday, July 12, 2023, 30-year-old Tiffany Clark, no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Burglary One.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to a Burglary Two offense that occurred on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, in the 800 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 11:38 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property and then fled the scene.

- Suspects Sought in a Homicide: 400 Block of 11th Street, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating suspects in a homicide that occurred on Monday, July 3, 2023, in the 400 Block of 11th Street, Northeast.
At approximately 12:08 am, First District officers responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male shooting victim inside of a vehicle. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 31-year-old Nasrat Ahmad Yar, of Alexandria, VA.

- Missing Person Critical Relisha Rudd
The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Relisha Rudd, who was 8 years old when she was reported missing from the 1900 block of Massachusetts Avenue, SE, on March 19, 2014. However, the last confirmed sighting of Relisha Rudd was on March 1, 2014, in the 1600 block of Maryland Avenue, NE. At the time she went missing, Relisha was described as an 8-year-old black female, 4’0” in height, 70-80 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair and medium complexion. An age progression image is included above along with the photo of Relisha from 2014. The MPD and FBI are offering a combined reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the location and return of Relisha Rudd.
- Vehicle Sought in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 700 Block of H Street, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, June 30, 2023, in the 700 Block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 2:46 am, a MPD member was in the area and heard the sounds of gunshots. Upon canvassing MPD members located an adult male shooting victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The detectives’ investigation revealed the victim produced a firearm and fired shots. An unknown suspect then fired shots striking the victim. The victim was placed under arrest.
35-year-old Jahi Waters, of Northeast, DC was charged with Assault with A Dangerous Weapon (Gun).

- Suspects Sought in a Homicide: 700 Block of 19th Street, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating suspects in a homicide that occurred on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, in the 700 Block of 19th Street, Northeast.
At approximately 10:08 pm, First District officers responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female shooting victim. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 54-year-old Tavonayna Glenn, of no fixed address.
