  • Suspects Sought in an Armed Robbery (Gun) Offense: 200 block of 13th Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, May 28, 2023, in the 200 block of 13th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 9:48 p.m., the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect then assaulted the victim before fleeing with the victim’s property. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.

  • Arrest Made in Armed Robbery (Gun) Offense: 1200 Block of C Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, May 28, 2023, in the 1200 block of C Street, Southeast.
At approximately 9:49 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and gave the suspects her purse. The suspect with the handgun then assaulted the victim. The suspects took property from the victim’s purse then fled the scene. CCN: 23-076-091
On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, a 13-year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).

  • Suspect Sought in a Robbery (Force and Violence) Offense: 600 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Friday, May 26, 2023, in the 600 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 6:44 am, the suspect assaulted an employee, inside of an establishment, and took money. The suspect then fled the scene.

  • Suspect Sought in an Armed Robbery (Gun) Offense: 1100 Block of 4th Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, May 26, 2023, in the 1100 Block of 4th Street, Northeast
At approximately 1:05 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied. The suspect then fled the scene with the victim’s property.

  • Homicide: Unit Block of Potomac Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Monday, May 29, 2023, inside of a residence, in the Unit Block of Potomac Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 2:55 pm, First District officers and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel discovered an unresponsive adult female stabbing victim, inside of a residence, at the listed location. DC Fire and EMS found that the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 52-year-old Regina Morris of Southeast, DC.

  • Suspect Sought in an Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm and Destruction of Property Offense: 1500 Block of Independence Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm and Destruction of Property offense that occurred on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in the 1500 block of Independence Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., First District officers responded for the report of the sounds of the gunshots at the listed location. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence of gunfire and property damage. There were no injuries.
