  • Wanted Suspect Sought

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in locating a wanted suspect.
The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Jayden Lamont Bracey, of Temple Hills, MD. He is currently wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Prince George’s County, MD. Bracey can be seen in the photos above.

  • Homicide: 1100 Block of D Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in the 1100 block of D Street, Northeast.
At approximately 2:55 pm, First District officers responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female, inside a residence, suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, the OCME determined that the cause of death was a stab wound and the manner was ruled a homicide.
The decedent has been identified as 30-year-old Andrea Bond, of Northeast, DC.

  • Suspects Sought in a Burglary One While Armed (Gun) Offense: 1600 Block of Massachusetts Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating suspects in a Burglary One while Armed offense that occurred on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in the 1600 block of Massachusetts Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 12:46 am, the suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects, armed with a gun, then entered an occupied residence and took property. The suspects then fled the scene.
The suspects were captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.

  • Arrest Made in an Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: 1200 Block of C Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the 1200 block of C Street, Southeast.
At approximately 5:30 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then took other property from the victim and fled the scene with the victim’s vehicle. The suspect was later apprehended.
On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, 21-year-old Darius Butler, of Hillcrest heights, MD, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).

  • Suspects and Vehicle Sought in a Robbery (Fear) and Theft One (Stolen Auto) Offense: 1900 Block of D Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects and a vehicle in reference to a Robbery (Fear) and Theft One (Stolen Auto) offense that occurred on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in the 1900 block of D Street, Northeast.
At approximately 2:36 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects grabbed his waistband as if he had a weapon and demanded the victim’s vehicle keys. The victim complied and both suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle. A third suspect then followed in another vehicle. The victim’s vehicle has been recovered.
The suspects and vehicle, described as a blue Hyundai last seen displaying Maryland tags 6FC9257, were captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos above and at right and in this video.
