  • Person of Interest Sought in a Homicide: 1200 Block of First Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest in reference to a homicide that occurred on Saturday, November 19, 2022, in the 1200 block of First Street, Northeast.
At approximately 9:50 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the report of the sound of a gunshot. Upon arrival, the members located an adult female victim, inside of a hotel room, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 18-year-old Akira Wilson of Southeast, DC.

  • Arrest Made in an Armed Carjacking (Knife) Offense: 200 Block of A Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Knife) offense that occurred on Sunday, November 20, 2022, in the 200 block of A Street, Northeast.
At approximately 8:11 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s vehicle key. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The suspect was apprehended shortly after by responding officers.
On Sunday, November 20, 2022, a 14-year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Knife).

  • Suspect Sought in an Armed Robbery (Gun) of an Establishment Offense: 600 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) of an Establishment offense that occurred on Sunday, November 20, 2022, in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 4:41 pm, the suspect approached an employee at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money from the register. The suspect then discharged the firearm and the employee complied. The suspect then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.

  • Suspect Sought in Burglary Two of an Establishment Offense: 200 Block of 7th Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in a Burglary Two of an Establishment offense that occurred on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, in the 200 block of 7th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 6:00 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property and then fled the scene.

  • Suspect Sought in Burglary Two of an Establishment Offense: 1200 Block of H Street, Northeast.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in a Burglary Two of an Establishment offense that occurred on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in the 1200 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 3:25 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property and then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in this video.
