  • Vehicle Sought in a Leaving After Colliding Offense: 1700 Block of New York Avenue, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Unit seek the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle in reference to a Leaving After Colliding offense that occurred on Sunday, November 6, 2022, in the 1700 block of New York Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 8:04 pm, the operator of a bright green Dodge Challenger struck an adult male pedestrian who was crossing the street. The striking vehicle then fled the scene. The adult male was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in this video.

  • Suspect Sought in an Armed Robbery (Gun) Offense: 1500 Block of Independence Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in the 1500 block of Independence Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 5:33 am, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded US currency from the register. The employee complied and the suspect fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above and this video.

  • Arrests Made in an Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: 1300 Block of I Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce arrests have been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, November 6, 2022, in the 1300 block of I Street, Northeast.
At approximately 9:00 pm, the suspects approached the victim, who was seated in a vehicle, at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied. The suspects attempted to flee the scene in the victim’s vehicle but were apprehended by responding officers. A handgun was recovered on the scene.
On Sunday, November 6, 2022, a 17-year-old juvenile male, of Rockville, MD, and two 16-year-old juvenile males, both of Southeast, DC, were arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).

  • Arrests Made in an Attempted Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: 300 Block of 15th Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce arrests have been made in reference to an Attempted Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, November 5, 2022, in the 300 block of 15th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 8:50 pm, the suspects approached the victim, who was exiting their vehicle, at the listed location. One of the suspects demanded the victim’s vehicle keys. The victim did not comply and fled the scene. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers. Three firearms were also recovered.
On Saturday, November 5, 2022, a 16-year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun) and Carrying a Pistol Without a License. Additionally, a 16-year-old juvenile male of Northeast, DC and a 15-year-old juvenile male of Southeast, DC were arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a License.

  • Suspects and Vehicle Sought in an Armed Robbery (Gun) Offense: 500 Block of Morse Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects and a vehicle in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, November 10, 2022, in the 500 block of Morse Street, Northeast.
At approximately 9:09 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and took the victim’s property then fled the scene in a vehicle.
The suspects and the suspects’ vehicle were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in this video.

  • Robbery Investigation 800 block of D St NE

The First District is investigating a robbery that occurred on November 6, 2022 at approximately 820pm in the 800 block of D Street, NE. The suspect involved was described as a black male, wearing a gray hoodie, dark pants, and a black surgical mask. He had a dark complexion, with a slim build, and approximately 5’10-6’0” in height. The suspect is armed with a handgun. Taken was a cell phone, no one was harmed. Anyone with information is asked to call (202) 727-9099 or text tip 50411

  • Carjacking (Attempt) unit block of H Street NW

The First District is currently investing an armed carjacking (attempt) that occurred on Monday, November 7, 2022. At approximately 12:15pm, MPD responded to the unit block of H Street NW for a carjacking.
The suspect brandished a black colored handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim refused, and the suspect fled in a black BMW sedan with unknown Virginia tags being operated by a second suspect.
The suspects are described as two black males wearing dark colored clothing and face masks.

  • Robbery Investigation 900 block of D Street, NE

The First District is investigating a robbery that occurred on November 6, 2022 at approximately 9pm in the 900 block of D Street, NE. Taken from the victims were cellular phones. The suspects were described as 1 black male wearing a gray hoodie tightly pulled around his face, approximately 5’8” with a slim build. Suspect 2 was a black male, approximately 5’8”, with a slim build, wearing a black hoodie tightly pulled around his face. Both suspects were armed with handguns. The suspects fled the location in a black Honda Civic with a possible tag of JA6965 being driven by a black male wearing a red hoodie.
