  • Suspect Sought in an Armed Robbery (Gun) of an Establishment Offense: 1500 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) of an Establishment offense that occurred on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 10:29 am, the suspect approached an employee at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money from the register. The employee complied. The suspect then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.

  • Homicide: 1200 Block of Trinidad Avenue, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday, October 27, 2022, in the 1200 block of Trinidad Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 1:51 am, a member of the Fifth District was in the area of the listed location when they heard the sound of gunshots. Upon arrival, the members located an adult male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 46-year-old Rico Tabron, of Northeast, DC.

  • Arrest Made in an Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun) Offense: 1200 Block of Half Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in the 1200 Block of Half Street, Southeast.
At approximately 6:55 pm, members of the First District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from a potential gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers and a firearm was recovered on scene. Investigation revealed that this offense was the result of a dispute between known parties. The suspect discharged the firearm into an establishment causing the victim’s injury.
On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, 31-year-old Craig Jermaine Peacock, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun) and Carrying a Pistol without a License.

  • Armed carjacking, 1300 block of D Street NE

The First District is currently investigating an armed carjacking that occurred in the 1300 block of D Street NE that occurred on October 23, 2022. Taken was dark blue Mercedes SUV GLE 400 with a DC Tag GD6186. The vehicle was taken by 2 black males,18-19 years
