Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Brick) offense that occurred on Monday, August 8, 2022, in the 500 block of G Street, Southeast.
At approximately 9:34 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects assaulted the victim with a brick. The suspects then fled the scene. A short time later, one of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
On Monday, August 8, 2022, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating suspects in a Burglary One offense that occurred on Monday, August 15, 2022, in the 600 block of L Street, Southeast.
At approximately 1:30 am, the suspects gained entry into an occupied residence at the listed location. Once inside, the suspects took the victim’s dog and property then fled the scene. The dog has been located.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in the 1500 block of C Street, Southeast.
At approximately 11:00 pm, the suspects approached the victim, who was seated in a vehicle, at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
On Thursday, August 11, 2022, 22 year-old Thomas Maikel Flood, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announce an arrest has been made in an Unarmed Robbery of an Establishment offense that occurred on Thursday, August 11, 2022, in the 900 block of 17th Street, Northeast.
At approximately 7:01 pm, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspect approached an employee and took money from the cash register. The suspect fled the scene but was apprehended by responding officers.
On Thursday, August 11, 2022, 55 year-old Johnny Smith, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Unarmed Robbery of an Establishment.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, August 15, 2022, in the 900 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 7:00 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded property from the victim. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene.

- Arrest Made in a Homicide: 1700 Block of West Virginia Avenue, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce an arrest has been made in a homicide that occurred on Saturday, June 25, 2022, in the 1700 block of West Virginia Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 4:47 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the members located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and discovered the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 45-year-old Jason Ford, of Northwest, DC.
On Monday, August 15, 2022, pursuant to a DC Superior Court bench warrant, members of the United States Marshals Service, located and arrested 19-year-old Nelson Davis, of Southeast, DC. Davis was charged with Second-Degree Murder while Armed.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth and Family Services Division seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to a Second-Degree Child Sexual Abuse Offense that occurred on Sunday, August 14, 2022 in the 100 Block of District Square, Southwest.
At approximately 4:30 pm, the suspect engaged in an unwanted sexual contact with the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense that occurred on Monday, August 15, 2022, in the 800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 5:03 pm, the suspect and the victim were involved in an argument at the listed location. During the argument, the suspect struck the victim multiple times with a wood board. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
On Monday, August 15, 2022, 28 year-old Daniel Hall, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
