  • Arrest Made in an Armed Robbery (Gun) and Theft One (Stolen Auto) Offense: 800 Block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) and Theft One (Stolen Auto) offense that occurred on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in the 800 block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast.
At approximately 1:25 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, 24 year-old Jacquan Peoples, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Gun) and Theft One (Stolen Auto).

  • Armed Robbery – 600 block of 3rd Street NE

On 1/2/2022 at approximately 9:30 pm, officers of the First District responded to the 600 block of 3rd Street NE for the report of an Armed Robbery. Officers learned that two suspects approached a victim and held him at gunpoint while demanding the victim’s property. The victim surrendered his property and the suspects then stole his vehicle.
Lookout for two black males, approximately 16-25 years old, slim built, wearing dark clothing, one had a black bandana across his face.

  • Robbery Arrest

At approximately 10:30 pm on 12/31/2020, two First District officers patrolling on their mountain bikes in the 1100 block of South Capitol St. heard a woman screaming that someone had just snatched her purse. The officers immediately responded to her and she pointed out the robber who was still running away with her purse. The officers then quickly rode their bicycles toward the suspect and placed him under arrest for Robbery.

  • Suspect Sought in a Burglary One Offense: 700 Block of G Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to a Burglary One offense that occurred on Thursday, January 6, 2022, in the 700 block of G Street, Northeast.
At approximately 3:37 pm, the suspect gained entry into an occupied residence at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos at right.
