  • Arrest Made in a Burglary Two Offense: 1400 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to a Burglary Two offense that occurred on Friday, November 26, 2021, in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 11:53 pm, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Friday, November 26, 2021, 36 year-old Dante Christopher Smith, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Burglary Two.

  • Suspects Sought in a Theft One (Stolen Auto) Offense: 1400 Block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in reference to a Theft One (Stolen Auto) offense that occurred on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 11:00 am, the victim exited their vehicle at the listed location. The suspects then entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene.

  • Arrests Made in an Armed Carjacking (Knife) Offense: 700 Block of 5th Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce arrests have been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, November 22, 2021, in the 700 block of 5th Street, Northeast.
At approximately 6:50 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. A suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the vehicle.
On Monday, November 22, 2021, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, and a 13 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, were arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Knife). Additionally, as a result of the detectives’ investigation, the 13 year-old juvenile male was charged with the following offense:
Burglary One and Theft One (Stolen Auto): On Sunday, November 21, 2021, at approximately 7:35 pm, the suspect gained entry to an occupied residence while two other suspects stood outside the 1300 block of C Street, Northeast, and served as lookouts. Once inside, the suspect took property to include keys to a vehicle. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s vehicle has since then been recovered.
Previously, on Sunday, November 21, 2021, a different 13 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC was arrested and charged with Burglary One and Theft One (Stolen Auto).

  • Vehicle Sought in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: Unit Block of I Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, November 27, 2021, in the unit block of I Street, Southeast.
At approximately 2:50 pm, the suspects were in a vehicle and approached the victim, who was seated in a vehicle, at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a weapon and shot at the victim. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects’ vehicle was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos below. The vehicle is described as a black 2-door BMW 328xi Coupe with unknown tags, tinted windows, chrome trim, and black rims.

  • Suspect Sought in a Burglary Two Offense: 600 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to a Burglary Two offense that occurred on Saturday, November 20, 2021, in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 6:15 am, the suspect forcibly gained entry into an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene.

  • Suspects Sought in a Robbery (Force and Violence) Offense: 500 Block of L Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in reference to a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, in the 500 block of L Street, Northeast.
At approximately 2:40 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and then took property from the victim. The suspects then fled the scene.

  • Suspects Sought in an Armed Robbery (Gun) Offense: 1700 Block of East Capitol Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, in the 1700 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast.
At approximately 6:25 pm, the suspects approached the victims at the listed location. One of the suspects assaulted one of the victims. A second suspect then brandished a handgun and demanded the victims’ property. The victims complied. The suspects then fled the scene.
The suspects were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.

  • Suspects Sought in an Aggravated Assault Offense: Unit Block of N Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in reference to an Aggravated Assault offense that occurred on Friday, November 12, 2021, in the Unit block of N Street, Southeast.
At approximately 1:43 am, members of the First District responded to the listed location for a call to investigate the trouble. Upon arrival, members located an adult male, who had been assaulted and was suffering from multiple injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspects were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.

  • Arrest Made in an Attempt to Commit Robbery while Armed Offense: 1200 Block of 1st Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Attempt to Commit Robbery while armed offense that occurred on Thursday, December 2, 2021, in the 1200 block of 1st Street, Northeast.
At approximately 5:23 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect then demanded the victim’s property and brandished a handgun. The victim did not comply and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers and a pellet gun was recovered.
On Thursday, December 2, 2021, 30-year old Bryce Anthony Porter, of Reston, Virginia, was arrested and charged with Attempt to Commit Robbery while Armed.

  • Suspects Sought in an Armed Robbery (Gun) Offense: Unit Block of 17th Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, December 3, 2021, in the Unit block of 17th Street, Northeast.
At approximately 8:50 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and demanded property from the victim. The suspects took property from the victim then fled the scene.
