During the month of September, the Hagerty Driver Foundation showed off their latest inductees to the National Historic Vehicle Register. The location? On the Mall, between the Air and Space Museum and the National Gallery of Art. )(RSP)
While the cars shown are all of historic import, there was really only one that got our photographer, a child of the ’80s, off the Hill: The DeLorean from Back to the Future. (RSP)
And this is really it: This is the car (well, one of three, though the other two were pretty abused during shooting) used to film the movie. (RSP)
Fully restored, it features the famous Flux Capacitor…(RSP)
…and the clock indicates that it has just returned from its first successful trip as taken by Einstein the dog. (RSP)
There was a constant stream of visitors, young and old, that day, proof that this 35 year old movie still is a draw. (RSP)
