  • Suspect Sought in a Felony Assault Offense: 700 Block of H Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to a Felony Assault offense that occurred on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in the 700 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 7:42 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above and this video.

  • Vehicle Sought in an Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun) Offense: 900 Block of 10th Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle in reference to an Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in the 900 block of 10th Street, Northeast.
At approximately 9:18 pm, the suspects exited a vehicle and approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and fired at the victim then fled the scene in the vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
The suspect’s vehicle was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.

  • Persons of Interest Sought in an Unarmed Carjacking Offense: 1600 Block of A Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying persons of interest in an Unarmed Carjacking offense that occurred on Friday, October 1, 2021, in the 1600 block of A Street, Southeast.
At approximately 12:30 pm, the suspect approached the victim, who inside of their vehicle, at the listed location. The suspect opened the driver side door, assaulted and forced the victim to exit the vehicle. The suspect fled the scene in the vehicle. The vehicle has been recovered.
The persons of interest were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos at right:

  • Homicide: 1300 Block of Half Street, Southwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in the 1300 block of Half Street, Southwest.
At approximately 11:08 pm, members of the First District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located two adult males and an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported one adult female to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. One adult male was treated on the scene for minor injuries. The third victim, an adult male, displayed no signs consistent with life and remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner
The decedent has been identified as 44 year-old Garry Stanley, Sr., of Fort Washington, MD.

  • Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 1200 Block of H Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Friday, October 1, 2021, in the 1200 Block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 9:00 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and cut the victim then fled the scene.
On Friday, October 1, 2021, 25 year-old Britnee Williams, of Capitol Heights, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).

  • Suspect Sought in a Burglary One Offense: 300 Block of Tingey Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to a Burglary One offense that occurred on Monday, September 13, 2021, in the 300 block of Tingey Street, Southeast.
At approximately 2:45 pm, the suspect entered an occupied residence at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene.

  • Suspect Sought in a Burglary Two Offense: 1100 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to a Burglary Two offense that occurred on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 2:20 am, the suspect gained entry to an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photo at right and in this video.

  • Homicide: 400 Block of 12th Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, in the 400 block of 12th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 9:46 pm, members of the First District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found that the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 26 year-old Aaron Wiggins, of Upper Marlboro, MD.

  • Suspect Sought in an Attempt to Commit Robbery (Fear) of an Establishment Offense: 1100 Block of First Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to an Attempt to Commit Robbery (Fear) of an Establishment offense that occurred on Thursday, October 7, 2021, in the 1100 Block of First Street, Northeast.

At approximately 5:26 am, the suspect approached a store employee at the listed the location. The suspect demanded US currency and threatened the victim. The victim did not comply. The suspect did not obtain property then fled the scene.

  • Attempted Robbery of An Establishment – 900 block of H St NE

The First District is currently investigating an attempted robbery of an establishment that occurred in the 900 block of H St NE on 10/08/21 at approximately 3:30pm. The victim reports that a male suspect entered the store and demanded money. The suspect then fled without obtaining any property. The suspect was described as a Black Male, 20’s, wearing a grey and black jacket, grey sweatpants and a blue hat.

  • Attempt Armed Robbery / Theft Stolen Auto – 200 Block of 14th St NE

The First District is currently investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred in the 200 block of 14th St NE on 10/08/21 at approximately 2:50pm. The victim reports that while involved in purchasing vehicle tags from two suspects, one suspect produced a handgun and demanded his property. The second suspect entered his unoccupied vehicle and both suspects fled. The suspects were described as:
Suspect 1: Black Male, 20-30’s, 5’7″-5’10”, wearing a white t-shirt and green sweatpants armed with black in color handgun.
Suspect 2: Black Male, juvenile, 5’5″-5’9″, wearing a white t-shirt.
