  • Arrest Made in a Burglary Two and Carrying a Pistol Without a License Offenses: 400 Block of H Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to a Burglary Two and Carrying a Pistol Without a License offenses that occurred on Saturday, August 28, 2021, in the 400 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 4:56 am, the suspect forced entry into an establishment at the listed location. The suspect was apprehended by responding units. A firearm was recovered from the suspect.
On Saturday, August 28, 2021, 20 year-old Martique Henderson, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Burglary Two and Carrying a Pistol Without a License.

  • Suspects Sought in an Assault on a Police Officer Offense: 900 Block of Wharf Street, Southwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects in reference to an Assault on a Police Officer offense that occurred on Saturday, August 28, 2021, in the 900 Block of Wharf Street, Southwest.
At approximately 11:40 pm, the suspects physically assaulted an MPD police officer at the listed location then fled the scene. The officer was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.

  • Homicide: 800 Block of 3rd Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in the 800 block of 3rd Street, Southeast.
At approximately 3:21 am, members of the First District responded to the area of the listed location for the reports of an individual down. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 35 year-old Carl Harris, of no fixed address.

  • Arrest Made and an Additional Suspect Sought in an Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: 800 Block of 3rd Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force announce an arrest has been made and an additional suspect is sought in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, in the 800 block of 3rd Street, Northeast.
At approximately 2:37 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim exit her vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
Previously, on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).

  • Suspects Sought in Armed Robbery (Gun) Offenses: in the First District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in reference to Armed Robbery (Gun) offenses that occurred in the First District.
On Sunday, August 29, 2021, at approximately 10:03 am, the suspects approached the victim, at an ATM, in the 1000 block of H Street, Northeast. One of the suspects brandish a handgun and demanded money from the victim. The victim complied. The suspects fled the scene.

On Monday, August 30, 2021, at approximately 2:30 pm, the suspects approached the victim, at an ATM, in the 1100 block of H Street, Northeast. One of the suspects brandish a handgun and demanded money from the victim. The victim complied. The suspects fled the scene.

  • Suspect Sought in a Burglary Two Offense: 600 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to a Burglary Two offense that occurred on Friday, September 3, 2021, in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 3:47 am, the suspect forcibly gained entry to an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.

  • Arrest Made in a Burglary Two and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 1400 Block of H Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announced an arrest has been made in a Burglary Two and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Thursday, September 2, 2021, in the 1400 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 5:05 pm, the suspect entered a building that was under construction at the listed location, and attempted to take property. Construction workers confronted the suspect and the suspect brandished a knife. The suspect assaulted one of the construction workers then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
On Thursday, September 2, 2021, 39 year-old Antwane Harrington, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Burglary Two and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
