30 May 2021 Photography: Eastern Market Metro Plaza Changes The final work on the Eastern Market Metro Plaza is being done right now. Here, the roof on the performance area is being added. (RSP) Friend of blog Mark Sussman says that the ribbon-cutting will be in June. (RSP) Trees are still doing a lot of shade work, though. This is not an architect’s rendering, BTW. (RSP) Across the street, there is much less going on. (RSP) But where the playground of cast-off toys used to be, now is a green an inviting place. Well, except during naptime.
