To Do Indoors, Week of 4/23/20

It’s been quiet around here for those of you who like to celebrate by going out because DUH, but it looks like that as we adapt to our new normal, we’re also figuring out how to have fun. So here are a few events to put a little pep in your step and maybe, just maybe, force you to get out of your pajamas for about 30 minutes at a time. Enjoy!

The first item today is an encouragement to #ShopLocal on Saturday, April 25. Buy local, write a good review or share your favorite things about your local retailers with your friends. Use this portal as a guideline.

Today is William Shakespeare’s birthday and the Folger Shakespeare Library will not be having their usual cake and merriment extravaganza but YOU are encouraged to help celebrate the bard with dressing-up, LEGO scenes, sonnets, poems and socially distanced parties. Use the tag #ShareYourShakespeare and join the Folger’s portal here.

NOVEL South Capitol is putting on a virtual event via Zoom today at 4 p.m. called “Finding Joy at work amid Covid-19.” We’ll take anything that sparks joy these days, so okay! Register here.

Have fun and remember: STAY HOME!
