Whether you catch a short performance in a living room or a loud concert at a big, splashy venue, there is nothing better than live music. Here are several options for this week:

Spotlight:

Tonight, and every Wednesday, is the Capitol Hill Jazz Jam at Mr. Henry’s, 601 Pennsylvania Avenue SE. Go for an hour, go for all three, from 8 to 11 p.m., but GO!! (And tell them we sent you.)

At the Corner Store, 900 South Carolina Avenue SE, you can catch Harmonious Wail this Friday, March 29. Tickets/info.

At Trusty’s, 1420 Pennsylvania Avenue SE, mark your calendar for local favorite Laura Tsaggaris. Laura sings at the upstairs bus every first Wednesday of the month and her set starts at 8 p.m.

At Dangerously Delicious Pies, 1339 H Street NE,

Because it’s never too early to instill a love of live performance, take the littles to “Those Wonderful Winds!” at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church next Saturday, April 6. Tickets/info
