Fine Lines Paint Jam SATURDAY!

Screen Shot 2016-04-28 at 2.17.42 PMOne of my favorite things about living in a city is the vibrant murals and street art: The bright colors that bring happiness and attention to even the most neglected parts of the city; the walls that become conversation pieces or landmarks on their own; the transformative power of seeing something powerful, beautiful, joyful or just SO DC come out of coating a little plaster or brick (and when done well, #artisnotacrime). Do you like street art too? Then the Fine Lines Paint Jam by Words Beats & Life is the weekend event you don’t want to miss!

Words Beats & Life, a local non-profit that seeks to raise awareness of the transformative power of Hip Hop, is bringing to DC a 900-foot canvas and almost 100 artists from all over the east coast to celebrate International Jazz Day! Saturday April 30 (rain date May 1) is your chance to paint with talented artists and come together to create something amazing– much like last summer’s project over at NoMa’s 11,000 square-foot mural at Storey Park.  Make sure you find out more info and RSVP through this link: CLICK HERE FOR RSVP. For more info, you may also contact Marcus [at] wblinc [dot] org
