We usually have you covered for weekend activities, but here is a weekday exhibit you won’t want to miss: The allure of the circus – that bohemian, traveling atmosphere where graceful and mysterious people do death-defying acts – is coming to the Fridge, 516 1/2 8th Street SE, tomorrow Tuesday, March 1 2016 from 7-11 p.m. The show, Street Light Circus, is the brainchild of portrait photographer Dani Pierce, who used the city as a circus backdrop to make gorgeous, moody photographs of her circus artist friends Montana Debor, Darren Rabinowitz and Christian Kloc. Over dinner in December of last year, the friends decided to, in their own words, “to satiate this [artistic] hunger while using our city, Washington, D.C., as a backdrop.”

If you want to see more of this work and hear tales of circus artists and photographer being chased by security, this is the place for you! Can’t make it to the opening? Make sure you check out their website, Street Light Circus, where more of Dani’s work is arranged in stories.
WHAT: Street Light Circus show exhibit
WHEN: Tuesday March 1, 7-11 p.m.
WHERE: The Fridge gallery, 516 1/2 8th Street SE
