You might remember him for his soft-spokenness, his warm smile or his kind heart. I remember Dr. De la Cruz’s devotion to his patients, including his willingness to stay after hours to return a phone call any time there was an issue with one of my pets. His caring nature was also evident in the way he would follow up after a particularly difficult visit: He made a phone call and sent us a note after we had to say goodbye to a beloved cat too soon. He shared in our sadness when Salem passed away at age 6, but he also shared in our joy upon our dog Lottie’s safe return home.
Now it is our turn to offer our condolences to his friends and family as they gather together to celebrate the life of Keith De la Cruz. Friends, clients and patients–vaccinated and leashed patients– are invited to Quincy Park in Arlington, Va. (1021 North Quincy St.) on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 4 p.m. to celebrate the life of Dr. De la Cruz.
